All over Texas, people that are paying attention are up in arms about C-SCOPE. As they should be. It is a terrible curriculum that teaches liberal and anti-American ideals with little to no oversight.
But what about all the other tools of indoctrination that are being used against our children?
While teachers can’t speak at all about Christ they are forced to teach about homosexual history.
We see teachers arrested regularly for child pornography or sexual abuse of students.
And of course we cannot forget the violence regularly occurring in schools. Not to mention the potential for mass shootings because our schools have no protection.
I was a substitute teacher for about a year. At first I enjoyed working with the students and the income and schedule were great for my business. Sadly it quickly took it’s toll. Teachers in the lounge were just as vile as the students. The lessons were ultimately meaningless. And it was clear that our school system is more a glorified babysitting service than an educational institute.
The final straw came when sixth grade students were talking about their sexual escapades with eighth graders and I the only recourse I had was to ask them not to have that conversation in school. I couldn’t correct them or off them any hope and that feeling of hopelessness spread through me and I had to quit.
There are great teachers out there. There many conservative and Christian men and women who believe they are doing what God has called them to do. I respect that.
But my questions are really for the parents. Do you really believe it is best to keep your child in these school systems? Do you really have the right to be shocked or surprised when your kids are lost to liberalism, gangs, or the victim of sexual abuse or violence?
